Employee Notification of Monitoring Results
Within 15 working days after the receipt of the results of any monitoring performed to meet the Cal/OSHA requirements, employers are required to notify each employee of the results. Employers can notify each individual worker in writing, or they can post the results in an appropriate location that is accessible to all of the affected employees.
Whenever the PEL, the STEL, or both, are exceeded, the notification of the monitoring results should include what corrective action the employer is taking to reduce the employee exposure to acceptable levels. If the employer has created a separate document that states the corrective actions, the employer may also refer the employees to that document.
