Safe Work Practices

Workers with occupational exposure to benzene can mitigate their risk of injury by following common-sense safe work practices. Employers of such workers are obligated to provide the equipment needed for employees to reduce their risk. This section will review ventilation guidelines, respiratory protection requirements, protective clothing and equipment, spill and leak procedures, sanitation, and first aid processes.
