Employer Responsibilities

Employers have a responsibility to keep workers safe while on the job. Employers must create a written safety plan that includes monitoring for cotton dust, engineering controls, work practice controls, and medical surveillance. In this section, we will discuss the requirements of 8 CCR 5190 that employers must follow to ensure worker safety.
