Medical Examinations

If a workplace contains cotton dust above the action level, the employer is required to provide medical evaluations free of charge. Workers are not required to accept these medical evaluations, but the medical examinations can help determine whether a worker's health is affected by his or her work environment. The examinations also help confirm that the safety measures put in place are working. As such, it is highly recommended that workers accept medical evaluations when they are offered.
