Changes at Facility That Require Reevaluation of Respiratory Hazards
Hazard evaluation must be scheduled on an ongoing basis. Additionally, a reevaluation of the respiratory hazards at the facility must be conducted whenever changes take place at the facility that may affect work area conditions, such as the following:
- New substances are introduced.
- New processes or procedures are implemented.
- New equipment is used.
Any one of these changes could cause a change in the level of respiratory hazards to which a worker may be exposed. If these changes result in changes or improvements to a facility's written respiratory protection plan, the program administrators must document these changes and keep them on file with the written plan along with a list of required changes or improvements that have not yet been implemented.
