Recordkeeping
Employers must keep a written copy of the respiratory protection program at the work site. Employers must also keep records of the medical evaluations and respirator fit tests. The fit test records must include at least the following:
- The name of the employee being tested
- The type of fit test that was performed
- The make, model, size, and style of the respirator being used
- The date of the test
- The results of the fit test
Only the most recent fit test record for each employee and respirator must be retained.
