Filing a Complaint
Your workplace's sexual harassment prevention policy must include clear instructions on how to file a complaint. As you already learned, the policy should include the person (or entity, such as a department) that you can speak with regarding an incident. One of these persons or entities can be your direct supervisor, but there should be another person or entity as well in case the alleged harasser is your direct supervisor.
Consider any evidence you may have against the alleged harasser. Collect this evidence and include it with your complaint, but do not feel like you have to go above and beyond by seeking out evidence (such as statements from witnesses). A thorough investigation will gather this information for you.
