Investigation Procedures

The investigation will include the following:

  • An interview of the complainant
  • An interview of the alleged harasser
  • Interviews of any witnesses or other people with information that will help the investigation
  • Follow-up interviews
  • Swiftly informing both parties of the outcome

If the alleged harassment is determined to have taken place, the following must occur:

  • A prompt remedy for the complainant
  • Disciplinary action against the harasser
  • Assurance (through actions, policies, or the like) that this harassment will not occur again
  • Prevention against retaliation toward the complainant or others involved in the investigation

Remember that you have the right to an impartial, timely, and fair investigation that is conducted by a qualified person or persons.
