Distributing Harassment Prevention Policies
You must distribute your workplace policies on harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in a way that ensures you have distributed to all employees and can show they have acknowledged receipt. Consider doing so via one of the following methods:
- Providing all employees with a printed copy, which also includes an acknowledgment form. Ask each employee to sign and return.
- Sending the policy through email, and include a return form that employees must complete and return.
- Posting the most current version of the policy on your company's intranet. Install a tracking system that shows that all employees read and acknowledge receipt of the policy.
- Discussing these policies when hiring new employees or when conducting orientation for new hires.
