Storing Pesticides

If you work in a storage area for pesticides or pesticide containers, take the following safety precautions:

• Make sure that containers are closed tightly and stored upright so they cannot tip over or spill.
• Check all containers for leaks, breaks, or weak spots.
• Clean up spills and leaks immediately.
• Lock the storage area to ensure that people and animals cannot get in when no one is working there.
