Transporting Pesticides
If you move pesticides to a different place in a car or truck, take the following safety precautions:
- Before you leave, ask your employer what to do if you have a spill, and carry spill cleanup materials with you.
- Place the pesticides in the back of the truck or in the trunk of the car, not inside the vehicle with you.
- Do not allow people, pets, or livestock to ride in the same compartment with the pesticides.
- Do not put food, feed, or clothes near the pesticides.
- Secure the pesticide containers - for instance, by tying them down - to ensure that they do not fall over or roll around.
