Protections for Early-Entry Workers

Worker employers must provide several types of protections to their early-entry workers who come into contact with anything that has been treated with a pesticide, including soil, water, air, and plant surfaces. These protections include:

  • Any protection that is required by pesticide labeling for early-entry tasks
  • Any protection that is required for all agricultural workers, including information at a central location, emergency assistance, restrictions during applications, and notice about applications
  • Special protections, including training and instructions, decontamination supplies, and PPE
