Short-Term Early-Entry Tasks with No Hand Labor

Workers may enter treated areas before the restricted-entry interval is over to work on short-term jobs that do not involve hand labor, but only if the workers are provided with the protections and PPE required for early entry.

Each worker performing short-term early-entry tasks must do each of the following:

  • Wait at least four hours after the pesticide application is complete before entering the treated area.
  • Wait at least until any inhalation exposure level listed on the label has been reached or any WPS ventilation criteria have been met
  • Spend no more than one hour in a 24-hour period performing short-term early-entry tasks.
