What Is Hazardous Waste?
The RCRA regulations for hazardous waste pertain only to solid wastes, which may be solid, semisolid, liquid, or contained gaseous material.
It is important to be aware that some hazardous wastes are not subject to the RCRA regulations. One reason may be that the waste is regulated by a different government agency. In other cases, the RCRA has excluded certain hazardous wastes from regulation in order to simplify their management and encourage recycling.
