Identification Codes for Listed Wastes
Each list contains from thirty to several hundred hazardous wastes. Each waste on the lists is assigned a unique identifying code. This code consists of the following:
- Letter of the list that contains the waste (F, K, P, or U)
- Identification number (for example, a waste code)
It is important to become familiar with these codes, because the management standards differ according to a waste's code. Next, we will take a closer look at each of the lists of waste.
