Procedures for the Manifest

A generator, or any other entity that obtains a manifest, is considered to be the "registrant" of the manifest. Registrants must adhere to strict guidelines when printing, distributing, and using the manifest.

When printing the manifest, or having someone else print it, the registrant must obtain approval of the manifest by the EPA Director of the Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery, ensure that all parties identified in the manifest are in compliance with the regulations outlined in section 40 CFR 262.21, and assume responsibility for assigning tracking numbers to all of its manifests.
