Recordkeeping & Reporting
Keeping accurate records and submitting reports in a timely fashion are an important part of managing hazardous waste. In addition to the manifest, which we have already discussed, certain generators are required to submit a Biennial Report and an Exception Report. Generators are also required to maintain records of any test results, waste analyses, or other determinations made according to 40 CFR 262.11. A generator must retain all of these reports for a specified period of time (typically three years).
