EPA Identification Number

No hazardous waste may be transported without an EPA ID. Transporters may obtain the EPA ID by completing and submitting the same form that generators use - the RCRA Subtitle C Site Identification Form (EPA Form 8700-12).

An EPA ID is issued to primary offices or places of business, not to individual transportation terminals. This is in contrast to the EPA IDs issued to generators, which are most often issued on a site-by-site basis.
