Labeling & Marking - Lamps

Each universal waste lamp or the container or package that holds universal waste lamps must be clearly labeled or marked with any of the following phrases:

Universal Waste - Lamp (or Lamps)
Waste Lamp (or Lamps)
Used Lamp (or Lamps)

The labels for all categories of universal waste must include a "container start date." This is the earliest date that the universal waste in the container was considered to be waste. A link for downloading free labels for each category of universal waste is included under Additional Resources at the end of this unit.
