Farmers

The regulations for generators are different when the generator is a farmer who generates hazardous pesticide waste from his or her own use of pesticides. Farmers are not required to comply with the regulations previously discussed in this unit of the course, if they meet the following requirements:

They triple rinse each emptied pesticide container in accordance with 40 CFR 261.7.
They dispose of the pesticide residues on their own farm by following the disposal instructions on the pesticide label.
