Certifying Hazardous Materials

Attachment 17 describes the certification of hazardous materials. As part of the shipping activity, a shipper's certification meeting Attachment 17 requirements must be completed for all military shipments of hazardous materials (unless specifically exempted in this manual).

A person deemed as qualified according to A25.3 must inspect the hazardous materials before the Shipper's Declaration For Dangerous Goods form is completed. Take note: for brevity, in some cases we will use the text "Shipper's Declaration" in this lesson instead of "Shipper's Declaration For Dangerous Goods" to refer to the same document.
