Column 1 - Symbols & Column 2 ID Number
Following are the columns for Table A4.1:
Column 1: Symbols related to the PSN
"D" means that the PSN only applies to domestic shipments; these items are also identified by "NA" numbers in Column 4. For international shipments, select an alternate PSN that is not preceded by a "D".
"*" (asterisk) indicates that a technical name is required along with the PSN.
"+" (plus) fixes the PSN, hazard class, and packing group for that entry without regard to whether the material meets the definition of that class or packing group or meets any other hazard class definition.
Column 2: Identification Number listing the identification number assigned to each PSN, either:
- "UN", or United Nations identification number
- "ID", or Identification number
- "NA", or North American number
