  • Class 3 and 8, and Class 4.1, 4.3 (solid), 5.1, 5.2, and 6.1 must not exceed the lowest net quantity per package (of the most restrictive single material in the package), as listed in Table A19.2. Refer to A19.3.3.1 for calculating the net quantity of liquids and solids packaged together.
  • Class 2 and 9, when packed without any other dangerous goods, must not exceed the gross package weight of 30 Kg (66 pounds). When Class 2 and Class 9 hazardous materials are packed with other dangerous goods, they must meet the requirements of A19.3.3.2, and the maximum net quantity of all dangerous goods (other than those in Class 2 or 9) must not exceed the requirements of A19.3.3.1.

Limited Quantity packages must meet the package performance test requirements outlined in A19.3.4. Table A19.2 provides Limited Quantity limits for Classes 2 to 9.
