Freight Containers & Overpacks
Freight containers (such as ISU, CONEX, MILVAN) are not considered as an outer packaging or overpack for items or materials stowed inside. These items and materials must be packaged as prescribed in the manual (1.10).
Individual packages within overpacks and freight containers must be marked and labeled according to this manual (Attachment 14 and 15) and MIL-STD-129.
Also, make sure that hazardous materials packed together are compatible as required by Attachment 18.
Refer to 1.10 for more information.
