Ground & Flight Rules
All practical ground and flight rules must be observed; each aircraft commander (or designated representative) must be briefed according to Attachment 21.
Hazardous cargo must not be transported aboard tactical or strategic aeromedical evacuation aircraft. A field commander may allow the transportation of casualties on aircraft carrying hazardous cargo in extreme circumstances.
This chapter does not apply to commercial or contract airlifts. Refer to Attachment 23 when using DOT Special Permits for AMC contracted commercial airlift.
Use DOD Regulation 4500.9-R for manifesting requirements.
