Obtaining a Packaging Waiver
To obtain a packaging waiver, you must provide:
- A detailed description of the package, including pertinent test data.
- The Proper Shipping Name (PSN), hazard class, UN Identification number, packing group, and net quantity of the material.
- A detailed explanation of why the established requirements cannot be met.
- A transportation analysis identifying why surface transportation cannot be effectively used.
When provided with a waiver, include a copy of it with the shipment.
