Specific Packaging Requirements - Attachments

Following are the nine classification-related attachments.

• Attachment 5: Class 1 Explosives
• Attachment 6: Compressed Gases (Class 2.1 flammable gas, Class 2.2. nonflammable non-toxic compressed gas, Class 2.3 toxic gas, including aerosols)
• Attachment 7: Class 3 Flammable Liquids
• Attachment 8: Class 4 Flammable Solids, Spontaneously Combustible Material, and Dangerous When Wet Material (Class 4.1 flammable solids, Class 4.2 spontaneously combustible material, and Class 4.3 dangerous when wet material)
• Attachment 9: Class 5 Oxidizing Materials and Organic Peroxides (Class 5.1 oxidizing material, Class 5.2 organic peroxides)
• Attachment 10: Class 6 Toxic (Poisonous) Materials and Infectious Substances (Class 6.1 toxic material; Class 6.2 infectious substances); note the term toxic and poisonous are used synonymously in the manual
• Attachment 11: Class 7 Radioactive materials
• Attachment 12: Class 8 Corrosive Materials
• Attachment 13: Class 9 Miscellaneous Hazardous Material
