Specific Packaging Requirements - Class 1

Any solid, liquid, or gaseous material that could polymerize (combine or react with itself), or decompose as to cause a dangerous generation of heat or gas, under normal transport conditions is prohibited. If these materials are properly stabilized or inhibited, they may be offered for transportation.

A3.3 describes general requirements applicable to each specific hazard Class 1 through 9, which are in addition to the requirements outlined in A3.1 and A3.2. Pay careful attention to the general handling instructions under each class; they provide vital information on safely working with the materials in the class.

A3.3.1 lists Class 1 Explosives specific packaging requirements, including safety precautions, forbidden explosives, chemical munitions, explosives classification approval, and other issues. If you are shipping explosives, refer to this section for specifics.
