Driver (CDL) - Loading and Unloading Division 2.3 and Division 6.1

Take care when loading and unloading arsenical compounds in bulk that includes "arsenical dust," "arsenic trioxide," and "sodium arsenate" Load these hazardous materials into sift-proof, steel motor-vehicle bodies equipped with water-proof, dust-proof covers. The packages must never interconnect, and loading and unloading may not take place near any public place or highway.

Do not transport Division 2.3 and 6.1 packages under the following conditions:

  • Packages containing POISON, POISON INHALATION HAZARD, or POISON in conjunction with PG III labels are in the same vehicle as foodstuffs, feed, or edible material intended for humans or animals, unless the poisonous material is packaged and separated from the foodstuffs adequately
  • Packages containing POISON, POISON GAS, or POISON INHALATION HAZARD labels are in the driver's compartment or the sleeper berth of the motor vehicle
