Driver (CDL) - Shipping Paper Offered to Rail Carrier

If a shipment includes a freight container or transport vehicle that will be offered to a rail carrier for further transportation, a motor carrier must ensure the following are marked on a shipping paper:

A description of the freight container or transport vehicle
A placard affixed to the freight container or transport vehicle

These requirements are found in §177.817.
