HMT - Column 7
Column 7, labeled Special Provisions, specifies the special provision code, if any, applicable to the hazardous material. These special provisions provide specifications in addition to the standard requirements.

Alpha-numeric codes are specific to a particular transportation mode or a particular type of packaging. The code descriptions are as follows:
- A - Air transport only
- B - Bulk transport only
- H - Highway transport only
- N - Non-bulk transport only
- R - Rail transport only
- T - IM tanks only
