Low Production Runs & Prototypes

Low production runs and prototype runs are two additional forms of shipping lithium batteries. Low production runs refer to the shipment of batteries with limited annual production (less than 100 batteries) that have not been subject to UN testing requirements. Prototype lithium cell and battery runs are those that are shipped and have not been subject to UN testing requirements and are still in the early stages of design. These batteries are often shipped for testing in the field or testing in labs.
