Manufacturer Responsibilities

Each manufacturer (including individuals, corporations, associations, agencies) of lithium cells and batteries is responsible for maintaining a record stating that the product passed the required testing with satisfaction. The manufacturer is required to keep the record for the duration that the product is offered and for one year thereafter. Additionally, the manufacturer must make the record available to authorized individuals from state, federal, and local governments upon request.
