Cargo Acceptance - Checklists Not Required

Acceptance checklists are not required for excepted quantities of the following shipments:

• Lithium batteries in compliance with Section II
• Genetically modified (micro) organisms
• Magnetized material in accordance with PI953
• Dangerous goods in excepted quantities
• Radioactive material-excepted package

As general cargo acceptance personnel, it is important that you are familiar with these types of shipments. These articles or substances may be accepted without further regulation unless required by the operator, in which case the area of responsibility may fall to you. Verify with your employer their policy regarding proper acceptance procedures.
