Cargo Acceptance - Dangerous Goods Consolidations
A consolidation refers to a consignment of multiple packages originating from more than one person who has made an agreement for air transport with another person other than the operator. Dangerous goods may be accepted in consolidations under the following conditions:
- They may be shipped in consolidation with other goods.
- They are subject to normal acceptance checks.
- Packages and overpacks containing dangerous goods must be offered to the operator separately from other goods.
- Dangerous goods in consolidations are not acceptable in unit load devices unless they meet the requirements of DGR 9.1.4.
- A Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods is required for each component.
- When consolidations contain any CAO dangerous goods, the whole consolidation must be shipped on a cargo aircraft.
