Cargo Acceptance - Documentation
Accurate and complete transport documentation is essential for the safe transport of dangerous goods. The two main types of transport documentation are the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods (DGD) and the Air Waybill (AWB).
The shipper is responsible for providing the applicable information on the required documentation for consignment of each shipment of dangerous goods to the operator.
It must be noted that general cargo acceptance staff are not qualified to accept dangerous goods and must not under any circumstances accept packages labeled as dangerous goods.
