Cargo Acceptance - Other Markings
Other packaging use markings depend on the type of dangerous goods shipment. These include the following:
- Excepted Quantities labels must be affixed to any package containing dangerous goods in excepted quantities.
- Radioactive Material, Excepted Package labels are required on all excepted packages of radioactive material.
- Environmentally Hazardous Substances labels are affixed to packages containing environmentally hazardous substances as specified by DGR 7.1.5.3.
- The Limited Quantity marking must be displayed on packages packed in accordance with the limited quantities provisions.
- The UN 3373 label must be affixed to all packages containing biological substances, category B, and packed in accordance with Packing Instruction 650.
- The UN 3245 label must be affixed to all packages containing genetically modified organisms and packed in accordance with Packing Instruction 959.
