IATA Cabin Crew & Passenger Security - Hazard Labels
Hazard labels are required to be used on packages and overpacks as specified in DGR 4.2 List of Dangerous Goods, column D.
The shape, color, and symbol of the label are what alert you to the type of hazard. Include text indicating the nature of the risk in the lower half of the label in addition to the class, division number, or compatibility group. The text should be in English, unless otherwise specified by the State of origin. If another language is used, provide the English translation.
All hazard labels must be in the form of a square, with minimum dimensions of 100 x 100 mm, set at a 45° angle (diamond shaped).
