Flight Crew & Load Planner - Procedures for Load Planners

Load planners must follow these general emergency procedures in the event of a spill or leakage involving dangerous goods:

• Notify the immediate supervisor, and request professional assistance.
• If possible, isolate the package by removing other uncontaminated packages or property.
• Avoid contact with the contents of the package.
• If contents come in contact with your body or clothing, thoroughly wash with plenty of water, remove contaminated clothing, keep your hands away from your eyes, mouth, and nose, and seek medical assistance.
• All staff involved in a dangerous goods incident should stay on site until their names have been noted.
