Flight Crew & Load Planner - Reporting
In the event of an aircraft accident or serious incident where dangerous goods may be involved, the operator must provide information to emergency services as soon as possible. This information must also be reported to the authorities of the State of the operator and the State in which the accident or incident occurred.
Operators are also required to report any instance where an undeclared or mis-declared dangerous good is discovered in cargo, mail, baggage, or on the person of passengers or crew. These reports must be provided to the appropriate State authority where the incident occurred.
Operators must also report any instances where dangerous goods are discovered to have been transported when not loaded, segregated, separated, or secured in accordance with DGR 9.2 and 9.3, or when information was not properly provided to the pilot-in-command.
Individuals other than operators who are in possession of dangerous goods at the time of an accident or incident must follow the reporting requirements in DGR 9.6.1. Individuals other than operators who discover undeclared or mis-declared dangerous goods must follow the reporting requirements in DGR 9.6.2. These individuals may include freight forwarders, customs authorities, and security screening providers.
