Information to Shippers

Operators must provide sufficient notices that are prominently displayed at cargo acceptance points to alert shippers of the regulations that apply to the transport of dangerous goods. In addition to posted notifications, there is a warning on the Air Waybill that shippers must complete.

There are many people involved in the chain of transport, from shippers to acceptance and handling staff to aircraft crews. Everyone in the chain must be trained and made aware of dangerous goods regulations in order to ensure that safety is not compromised.
