Protection from Damage

Operators are responsible for protecting packages of dangerous goods from being damaged during transport. Damage may occur from the movement of baggage, mail, stores, or other cargo. It is particularly important to ensure that dangerous goods packages are handled properly during transport preparation so that accidental damage does not occur from mishandling. Ramp agents and warehouse personnel must ensure that dangerous goods packages are stored and handled in accordance with the DGR.
