Operator Variations
Operator variations are identified by a two-character operator code followed by a two-digit number in sequence. For example, OS-01 is an operator variation listed by Austrian Airlines.
Operator variations cannot be less restrictive than the DGR.
When operators submit variations, they must not include restrictions that are purely operational in nature, must not repeat existing DGR provisions, and must have an impact on the shipper's ability to have the particular dangerous goods accepted for transport.
If dangerous goods are transported by several operators during the course of transport, all operators involved must be checked for operator variations.
