Variations
States and operators may submit variations to the DGR. For instance, some States and operators may not permit certain types of dangerous goods or certain packaging. State variations are listed in DGR 2.8.2, and operator variations are listed in DGR 2.8.4.
Shippers are responsible for complying with State and operator variations. Freight forwarder and operator acceptance staff must ensure that any dangerous goods being processed comply with the State and operator variations. Variations are listed on the Air Waybill.
