Subsection 2.3 - Carried by Passengers or Crew
Dangerous goods are forbidden to be carried by passengers or crew as checked baggage, carry-on baggage, or on their person, except as noted in Paragraphs 2.3.2-2.3.5. These paragraphs describe provisions for dangerous goods items that are permitted to be carried by passengers and crew with operator approval. See the DGR for a complete list of forbidden items and exceptions.
Dangerous goods that are forbidden to be carried by passengers or crew include:
- Security equipment in attaché cases, cash boxes, or bags that contain dangerous goods, such as pyrotechnic materials
- Disabling devices, such as mace or pepper spray
- Liquid oxygen devices
- Electroshock weapons, such as Tasers
