Subsection 2.4 - Transported by Post
Subsection 2.4 outlines the transport of dangerous goods by post. The Universal Postal Union Convention forbids the transport of dangerous goods in the mail, except for the following:
- Infectious substances (Category B)
- Patient specimens
- Radioactive material
- Lithium-ion batteries contained in equipment
- Lithium metal batteries contained in equipment
These articles are subject to all regulations that relate to these materials as well as any provisions of the national authorities.
