Subsection 3.10 - Multiple Hazards
Subsection 3.10 provides guidance when an article or substance has two or more hazards. If a dangerous good has multiple hazards but is not specifically listed in Subsection 4.2 List of Dangerous Goods, the primary hazard must be determined.
The articles and substances that meet the hazard criteria for the following classes and divisions take precedence over any other:
- Class 1, 2, and 7 (see 3.10.3 for more information)
- Class 3: Liquid desensitized explosives
- Division 4.1: Self-reactive and related substances, solid desensitized explosives
- Division 4.2: Pyrophoric substances
- Divisions 5.1 and 6.2
- Division 6.1: Substances in Packing Group 1 for inhalation toxicity (see 3.10.2 for more information)
For articles with three or more hazards that are not listed in Subsection 4.2, consult the appropriate authority in the State of Origin for advice.
