Dangerous Goods List, Columns 1-3 & 18
The next chapter in Part 3 is Chapter 3.2 - Dangerous Goods List. The Dangerous Goods List is an 18-column table spanning over 150 pages that concisely displays information about required provisions for shipping of substances designated as dangerous goods.
We will review the table column by column, beginning with Column (1) - UN No. This column provides the UN number assigned to the dangerous good. For convenience, the UN number is also found on the far right of the table in Column (18).
Column (2) - PSN, lists the proper shipping name in uppercase characters. To aid in isolating the specific good, this name may be followed by additional descriptive text in lowercase. Note the reference under the column number. (In this case, the section referenced is 3.1.2.) If more information is needed about the listing found in this column, turn to the referenced section.
