Dangerous Goods List, Columns 17

The final column, (17) - Properties and Observations, contains properties of and observations regarding the dangerous goods listed. Several terms are used to describe the density of a given gas's vapor relative to air. These are "lighter than air," "much lighter than air," "heavier than air," and "much heavier than air." The term "miscible with water" refers to the substance's ability to mix with water into a completely homogeneous liquid. In listings for Class 1 - Explosives, the user is often referred to Appendix B, found in Volume Two, which, for informational purposes, describes the goods in greater detail.

Finally, note the symbols alongside the UN number, which indicate that changes have been made to the record for that good (an open triangle) or that an insertion or deletion (closed square and circle with an x, respectively) has been made. Many of these changes are minor, however there have been some major changes.
