Dangerous Goods List, Columns 3-6
Continuing across the DGL table, Column (3) - Class or Division contains the class number for the dangerous good. In the case of Class 1 - Explosives, the compatibility group to which the good is assigned is also provided (for example, UN 0121 IGNITERS, class 1.1 compatibility group G).
Column (4) - Subsidiary Hazard(s) contains the class numbers of any subsidiary hazards that have been identified. In most cases, these are called-out as class numbers. The column also designates marine pollutants with symbol "P" (a small upper-case letter P).
Column (5) - Packing group provides, where applicable, the packing group (I, II, or III) appropriate for the good. If more than one packing group is indicated for a substance, each packing group will be listed on a separate line. Apply the hazard grouping criteria set out in Part 2 to determine the appropriate packing group for a substance with different options.
Column (6) - Special Provisions contains a number referring the DGL user to any special provisions applicable to the given substance. These provisions are listed in Chapter 3.3 - Special provisions applicable to certain substances, materials or articles; some substances may list more than one provision from this list.
